I mainly work with psychodynamic and mindfulness-derived therapeutic methods.
If you wish to gain a more detailed understanding of psychodynamic psychotherapy, I advise you read this article by the American psychotherapist Jonathan Shedler; leading researcher of psychodynamic therapy.
Fundamentally, psychodynamic therapy is an exploratory therapy. We explore feelings, the way we try to get away from and defend against those feelings, recurring themes in our lives and what they mean, developmental history and how it relates to our present day experience, and difficult interpersonal patterns that can be in the way of your emotional needs. From increased awareness new opportunities for change emerge. What changes, and how, follows naturally.
If you have an interest in non-duality and spirituality (for instance Zen or Advaita Vedanta), I am also available for non-duality oriented therapy.
